The Conference „India – Poland Cooperation & Investment: Manufacturing, Engineering & Allied Sectors Seminar” took place on the third of June on the Poznań International Fair. After the conference, there were also B2B meetings with Indian entrepreneurs – members of the Indian business delegation, which came to Poland to participate in the ITM Fair in Poznań. The Conference and B2B meetings were organized in collaboration with Polish – Indian Chamber of Commerce, Engineering Export Promotion Council in India and the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development. The event was one of the points of The India Show program
The conference and B2B meetings were held under the honorary patronage of the Minister of Economy.The main partner of the conference was the Embassy of India in Poland. Regional chambers of commerce and industry also took part in the organization of the event.
The visit of about 100 members of the business delegation was an ideal opportunity to organize the conference, during which it was possible to discuss the issues relevant to Indian entrepreneurs interested in entering the Polish market and establishing cooperation with Polish partners. The PKO Bank Polski representative presented the Polish economic situation and development prospects, stressing the increasing attractiveness and competitiveness of Poland. After that Von Zanthier’s representatives Mrs. Joanna Witkiewicz and Mr. Łukasz Dachowski, together with the owner of the company Mr. Henning von Zanthier discussed investment opportunities in Poland with particular emphasis on the legal and tax aspects.
Special guests were: Mr. Ravi Capoor – Joint Secretary, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, Mr. Vishvajit Sahay – Joint Secretary, Department of Heavy Industry & Public Enterprise, Government of India, HE Monika Kapil Mohta – Ambassador of India to Poland and Lithuania, Mr. Anupam Shah-Chairman EEPC India. Poland was represented by Mr Eugeniusz Grzeszczak – Deputy Speaker of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, Mr. Jerzy Pietrewicz – Secretary of State in the Ministry of Economy, Mr. Tomasz Kayser – Deputy Mayor of the City of Poznań, Mr. Andrzej Byrt – Chairman of the Board of the International Fair and the delegation of Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The conference was moderated by Mr. Stanislaw Wszelaki – President of the Polish – Indian Chamber of Commerce.
The second part of the event were the B2B meetings, during which the Polish entrepreneurs had the opportunity to both present their products and learn about the offer of Indian entrepreneurs. The idea of B2B meetings is to allow direct contact to potential business partners, which may become the first step in establishing business cooperation.
